Assalamualaikum. At first, I didn’t know how exactly upnm is. I went for the interview just because my mum asked me too, but on second thoughts, I wanted to see whether i pass the iv or not, whether i have the criteria to be a cadet or not. So i went for it. The iv is super fun, everyone was nice, bakal pegawai kadet **( the one in charge of taking care of us) pun baik je semua. They shared their experience, jawab apa yg kitaorang tak tahu. Major2, staf2 semua pun baik. Tapi time tegas, tegas lah. Time serious, serious. First day they checked our rabun mata, buta warna, bmi, darah, air kencing, and gigi. Bmi around 18-23. Tapi ada je my friend kurang tpi lepas. For mata, budak medic longgar sangat.I didn't bring my spec so doctor tu bagi i betul2 atas pagar, 6/12. Kalau tak rabun 6/6. Dia check both with and without glasses. Second day medical check up. Depends setiap cawangan lain. Kalau upnm sungai besi 10 org sekaligus. Dia check tangan bengkok tak, calon flat foot tak etc. Then tengok track nak lari untuk esok. Malam test pengetahuan am. Third day pagi lari. 3.2 km in 20 mins. Dia bagi merit ikut masa. Kalau bawah 15 mins 10 merit, 15-16 : 9, 16-17: 8, 17-18: 7, 18-19: 6, 19-20: 5 and so on. Lelaki tak sure tapi ladies yg first pun 18+ min. I got 19.56. Sikit lg nk 20 min. Then after makan roti kitaorang jalan masuk kawasan mtd, ada yg monkey bar bawah dia ada kolam yg air terdedah dgn hujab etc. Kena panjat mcm monkey and go to the other side, tapi i didnt pass 1 bar pun sbb mmg tgn tk kuat so jatuh hahaha. Then petang ada public speaking, malam test iq dan merancang. Forth day interview. Budak engineering n management ada 1 je iv, medic ada dua. Budak medic kena interview additional dgn fakulti perubatan. Iv dia tanya simple je. Iv dgn fakulti medic 4 org sekali gus. Soalan: why medicine, why we should choose you, apakah kepentingan etika dlm perubatan. This is the competition. Siapa cepat angkat dia jwb. I think first jwb possibly dpt merit juga. Lagi satu iv dengan major2, captain etc. 1 from navy, 1 from air force and 2 from army( interviewer), time ni u cannot laugh nanti tolak merit. 14 org sekali gus, ikut course. Dia tanya why upnm, why we shld choose u, boleh cope ke tak both medic student n a cadet etc. N then dia bagi masa last utk tanya soalan. Here is where u should prepare soalan byj2, even though u dah tahu answer dia. In upnm mental and physical kena kuat. Bakal pegawai kadet 2015 cerita.. Baris 5 kali, rocall memalam, tidur kdg2 3-5 jam, physical training ada kena angkat log, ladies or guys sama je tk ada speciality. Dgn senior tk ada nya nak senyum2. Jumpa bg salam. "Salam puan/tuan". Kalau senior guys or ladies suruh buat apa2, kena buat. Contohnya senior lelaki panggil, wlaupun time tu you're alone, dia suruh buat squad jump 20 kali, depan diorg kau kena buat. Mental physical kena kuat. Knuckles bpk15 ada parut sbb kena push up etc atas tar etc. Nak bgtahu parents takkanlah nanti diorg kesian lah bersalah lah risau lah. So the thing that keeps u going is the thought of your parents and bonding kau dgn squad kau. Bond dgn squad dekat upnm mmg kuat gila. Guys tolong angkatkan bag galas yg isi dgn pasir time kau tak larat dah lari 10 km bawa bag basir kiri kanan, galas bag apa tah lagi. Guys tolong. Budak medic kena kekalkan 3.67 pointer. Time masih bpk, bakal pegawai kadet, u hv the choice nk masuk kadet or awam. Tpi awam rugi lah. Tak daapt keluar pun tapi tak dpt duit. Dekat sini kalau ambil medic keluar terus dapat pangkat captain. N you dont hv to wait for housemanship etc. Terus boleh masuk jd ho kt hospital tentera etc. Time iv, everything mmg kena cepat. Makan semua cepat. Kalau sorg lambat semua kena tunggu lah lama2 dgn peluh etc. Additional weh, if you take medicine, the safest place is upnm or terus pergi mesir. Those two yg i know lah sbb if you go into uia or uitm asasi sains, kalau tk cukup pointer tk lepas. Goodluck guys! Make sure hati sado, jangan badan je sado.

Sometimes I wonder how people see me and what they think of me. It scares me a bit, honestly. I am sure though, that what they think of me, what they think my life is, is a complete misperception. I have always tried to show myself as a carefree person, as someone who wont get bothered because of public judgements. I am sure my friend and family think there is nothing going wrong in my life, that I do not worry enough, that I am always happy. And I am sure they probably somewhat hate me for it because, lets admit it, there is nothing worse than seeing someone who is life seems so perfect while yours is a complete mess. Truth is, I have become an expert at pretending. I think we are all experts or at least we are getting there.
